Had a problem with a Canon 50mm f1.8 lens. The focus was jammed and sticky.
Managed to open it without too much trouble and found the little brass guide had worked loose. Screw hole was damaged so I had to glue it back in place. All fine so far. Now I'm on the last lap and need only to refit the final section. This part has the spring-mounted levers attached and try as I might, I can't get the alignment right. Any help would be most appreciated.

You've done the hard part, this can be handled.

Is this a "Bayonet" (all black with a square silver button on the side) or a "Breechlock" (big silver locking ring at the back end) lens?

Email me, I have notes for both types.
