My X-9 stopped working..it seems the batteries keep going dead within a couple days and the shutter wont click. What shutter release problems are there? I wanted to purchase another X-9 but should I go with the X-700? Is this camera better and will my existing X-9 lenses work? Thanks...Please e-mail me at [email protected]..Dave

Most likely, a bad shutter release capacitor or solenoid is the cause. X-700 has these problems as well, and overall is probably less reliable than the X-9.
