How can I connect cable release to Yashica Mat?
What kind of cable release is compatible with this camera? |

Isn't the shutter release button threaded for standard cable release? Seem to recall that the last Mat I repaired was so fitted,however it was one of the later models. |

I think you will find that the Nikon cable release for a Nikkormat will do the trick. |

The early Mats require an adapter - like the Leica nipple. Glenn is correct in that newer Mats have a standard cable release type threaded button.

I bought an adapter of this type on eBay. It fit both the Yashica A and Walzflex cameras. |
