I have a Nikkormat and Nikomat FTn. On the "B" shutter setting, neither camera will hold the shutter open. One camera acts like it is on the 1 second setting and the other camera sounds like it is on the 1/2 or 1/4 second setting. They both work fine at all other shutter speeds. Any ideas on a fix?

Thanks,

Nate

My guess is that the shutter needs cleaning, which requires pulling the mirror box. Maybe someone else has a better idea...

I would agree. Nikkormats are tricky to adjust - they seem to have been made in a "modular" form so faulty parts can just be replaced.
