The shutter lever will not release the shutter on my flexaret IVa. The shutter (a prontor SVS) seems to be working fine). The lever won't fully depress. I've taken the side off and can't see where the issue would be. I'm wondering if I have to take the front off or at least the plastic covering on the front to see if anything is inhibiting the lever from being fully depressed. I can't see anything from the side.

The front is very hard to get off. Just warning you.
