I recently bought a fujica stx 1n. I have yet to find out if it works or will work. The self-timer is stuck. Any ideas on how to reset the timer. Please respond in detial. I am not an expert on repairs yet. Thanks

The self-timer escapement is accessible unde the baseplate.
Remove the baseplate.
With the camera upside down and the lens pointing away from you, the timer escapement can be seen in the upper right quarter.
You will see that the timer escapement has various links and couplings to the general under-baseplate mechanisms. The escapement can be removed for flood-cleaning, if necessary. However it may be that your problem is only lack of a little lube on the pins and associate cams which are linked to the escapement.
The issue of your question is more simplistic on the STX-1n than on most other SLR's and it is doubtful you would have any difficulty in sleuthing just where lies the hangup.
