My older model Canon QL-19 (1965 model) has a jammed timer.Any advice would help.Thanks.

usually this happens because the blades are gummy and the shutter wouldn't normally anyway. If this if not the case, it could be that the selftimer escapement is gummed/dirt. Try applying a SLIGHT amount the pressure on the selftimer cocking lever to see if that will make it run down. If it does and the shutter is fine, the shutter should work now.
