Hi, Would anyone know how to remove the shutter assembly on a yashica-mat (luxamar lens) from the front plate? The "view" lens can be unscrewed, I can remove the "taking" lens but I'm stuck with the shutter assembly and the front plate. I need to access the blades...

Thanks in advance!

if you have the front plate that the shutter is mounted removed from the camera body, look at the back side and you will see a tube/cup that surrounds the rear lens element. This is a retaining nut--unscrew it with a suitable spanner and the shutter will be free.

That's what I thought but it's so stuck, it made me doubt...

Thanks a lot Ed!

Check out this site where some of my pix were posted on the process of taking the front of the Yashicamat appart to access the shutter.
