I would like to remove the sliding focal unit (the unit which contains the lens, f/knob, Sec/knob, self timer, shutter, etc). What clip, screw, retainer needs to be removed so that it will adjust completely out of the body? Where is the locking device located / called?

Any advise and/or links wouild be greatfully appreciated.

Regards,

Tom O'Brien

Haven't done a 635, but in the Yashica Mat, the panel comes out from the front: after removing the front leather and the fascia panel that surrounds the lenses, there are 4 screws that attach the panel to the focusing mechanism. Then you just lift it right off.
