I lifted this QL17 GIII off ebay because I was intrigued by the seller's honest description of what sounded like a weird but probably repairable problem. Well, it turned out that I borrowed more than I can chew into. It is like that: with the back door open, you can advance and fire ("fire" means the lens opening at correct aperture and time, not just getting a "click") ad infinitum. But with the back door closed, there are the three regular blank advances, the first "useable" advance (as indicated by the red window), the first firing... and then the advance lever get blocked as if the shutter was cocked (which it is not). This procedure is not erratic but it rather happens ALWAYS. Any suggestion as to WIHIH?

try pushing the release a little farther than just enough to get the shutter to release and see what happens.
