i recently purchased a ricoh singlex tls off of ebay. i ran about half a roll of film through it when, after taking a picture, the viewfinder mirror did not drop back down. i can bring it down manually, but it just flips right back up. and since the mirror is stuck in the up position, the curtain (not sure if correct terminology) wont stay closed when the advance lever is turned. im a product of the digital age, so i have no idea what to do. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance!

hi brian:

it probably just needs cleaning, but this is not something you are going to be able to do yourself.

Hi!
Sorry for my english...
I got the same problem on my Ricoh KR-10x!
"...the mirror is stuck in the up position"
You must to do the mechanical reset!
As fast as I can (I hope this evening),I'll try to translate to english the information (how to...) and send it to You!
I'm from Ukraine!
