I have a Chinon CX which I love but the focus screen is marked. Can't work how to take it out. There is a small switch visible when you take lens out but this does not seem to be what releases the screen. Can it be removed and if so how? Please.

Screen is not user changeable and the instructions make no reference to alternatives.I suspect that in common with many slr cameras of that era you have to remove the top, then the pentaprism. This will give you access to the screen and any shims and fixings.
