I purchased a Yashica 635 that has a jammed self timer lever. I beleive this is preventing the shutter from working as well. I assume someone used the self timer with the sync. selector in the m position, but I am not 100% sure.Is there a way to remedy this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

You would have to remove the front panel leatherette and then the front panel in order to access the shutter mechanism. Remove the leatherette "dry" - slowly and carefully.
If you apply any liquid solvent (turps, petrol, alcohol or whatever) the leatherette will shrink.

Difficult to know what some ham-fisted user may have done to cause the jam - but when the mechanism is exposed you will soon see. Good luck.
