I am the original owner of a "classic" Minolta Maxxum 7000. This camera worked up until a year ago. The batteries started to die unusually fast and now the camera does not power up at all. Has anyone else experienced this or know if this is a common problem? Thanks!

Have you tried replacing the backup battery located under the panel in the battery compartment?
