Hi, I just fixed a Demi EE. I made some notes somewhere below. Now I realize that maybe there is no such thing that turns on/off the meter in this camera. So is it always on? |

The EE28 is selenium while the EE17 is CdS. But in either case the lens cap is the on/off switch. Henry |

one sec... How can you turn it off since it's a CdS and it's mounted on the top, beside the viewfinder. Putting on a cap wouldn't do much I think... Correct me if I am wrong. -Pil |

Opps, you are right! A lens cap will effectively turn off the EE28 but not the EE17. Guess I confused it with the Canonet. Covering the CdS cell will "turn off" the meter by going to very high resistance. But the lens cap doesn't cover the cell as it does on the Canonet. Maybe that is the reason I keep the EE17 in its bag?? :-) Sorry for the mis-info... Henry |
