I am trying to repair a Minolta Hi-Matic 9 with a stuck shutter blades. So far, I have traced the problem to a bent part in shutter mechanism. This is my first serious repair and I managed to loose a part (duh!). It is a flat leaf spring that loads the exposure round plate, that one that has contoured edge for seting the exposure values. This spring clicks into one of holes, giving a nice click and tactile feedback when seting exposure. Can someone describe it for me, I could try to make it from some thin spring steel from an old clock: thickness, appx bumps size. According to space available in black end face tube, the length should be 11.0 mm, width 2.8 mm. This is my first posting, been reading for just a week or so. It is good to know that there are more people admiring old mechanical miracles. |
