I have problem to find out how to remove the top
cover on my old Singlex TLS. Any helper ?

I did this on a junker and had no serious problems. Remove the rewind crank by holding the inner fork with a screwdriver and turning it counter-clockwise. There are some screws around the top cover. After removing them you can simply lift the top cover.

Unscrew rewind as Winfried advises. Cap over advance lever unscrews on mine. Remove lever and washers. There are retaining collars around wind and rewind shafts. Unscrew these and top will lift off. Wires to flash sync sockets need to be de-soldered.

I'm trying to get the top cover off of my Ricoh XR500, but can't figure out how to get the cap/screw off of the advance lever axis. I assume it's left-handed threads, and I've tried twisting it both ways, but have only knarled it up. Am I missing something obvious here?
