Hi,

I have an Olympus OM10 and of late it has developed an annoying tendency for the shutter to trip when I wind on. Not often enough to be disastrous, just enough to irritate. Our local camera shop wanted 75GPB just to look at it - daylight robbery! - so I've had a hard Google and found this forum. Judging by other items I've found whilst hunting the problem could be "sticky magnets" - any idea how easy it is to DIY fix? I have never taken a camera apart before (except an Ensign Ful-Vue, not really in the same league complexity-wise) but working in a lab do have access to small tools, solvents etc.

Youe suggestions much appreciated!

Adrian

P.S. If you start with 1930s cameras does this mean my 1917-1924 Box Brownie is off limits? ;-)

I can't tell you where the magnets are, but you can get a service manual here:
