I bought this LP-F from Ebay, which worked briefly. Now, however:

When turned on, the needle stays on the left side of the display.

If the battery wires are twiddled, the needle will sometimes move to the center of the display, but does not respond to light changes.

Battery test swings the needle all the way to the right.

I like to tinker, but I need this little guy to be reliable and I don't have a clue about how to diagnose this.

Anyone have any thoughts, or should I let discretion rule and send it to Bogen?
