I want to remove the top of me Nikkormat FTn to fix the film counter
index which has slipped.I managed to remove the the cover of the wind
lever but am having trouble removing the two-pin screw under it.Every
time I turn it counter-clockwise,the spool and sprocket also turns.I
do not wish to force it.Am I turning it the wrong direction?

You're doing the right thing; I think your problem is that the shutter is not cocked, so what you're doing at first as you turn the spanner is cocking the shutter. When the sprocket stops turning, keep going and you'll loosen the nut.
