I bought a Vivitar 24mm lense, aperture won`t close down, is it difficult to get in there? |

I vaquely recall that sometimes the linkages on the back of the lens get moved to the wrong places, you might try moving/prodding them around to get them re aligned, this might not be the problem, but something like that happened to me years ago, so I thought I'd throw it out there... |
