Hi, On 75% of indoor pics with flash, it seems my AE1's shutter only opens part way in that half of pic is black, rest is fine. All outdoor pics are fine. I assume there is a shutter problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, David |

David, Are you using a dedicated flash which would automatically set the shutter speed to the proper synch setting for flash photography? If not - is the camera set to its 'X' setting when you use flash? If your camera is set for a speed faster than 'X' (on the AE-1 I believe the 'X' speed to be 1/60s), only a part of your picture will be exposed. You might know all this, I thought I would start with the simplest solution first. Good luck, Jan |
