Can anyone tell me if there is a current drain on the battery of a Yashica G series GT GSN etc (as with an above the lens cds cell like the Konica Auto S2 and simiLar)if the camera is stored out of the supplied case or is the meter and electical systen only activated with a half press of the shutter button? |

The meter is switched off completely until you start to press the shutter button. The Electro35G will drain a lot of current when used for long exposure times or in B mode since the shutter solenoid is activated as long as the shutter is open. |

Thanks for that info Winfried, Now that I have one of each that have had the requisite going over as per valuable info on this site, they will be very nice and handy cameras to have laying around loaded up, in a cool spot, ready for instant use. I will load one with 800 Fuji Press, and the other with 200 Superia. |
