I have an old Canon F-1 that is fully operable except that the aperture ring in the viewfinder is out of place. With no lens attached it rests in the middle of the bar to the right of the display, rather than down around the stopped down metering notch. When a lens is attached, it starts out in the middle of the display, and as you move up f-stops it ends up disappearing to the top of the display. I think it must just be the actual aperture ring in the display that is out of place because the lenses appear to stop down correctly. Does anyone know how hard that is to fix, and how to go about doing it? I have the two Tommesy books, and access to a Canon F-1 repair chart, but I'm just not sure what I'm looking for or how to go about fixing it when I find it. Thanks!
