Check the Kowa section on www.Photo.Net forums. I remember seeing something about unjamming a kowa by removing the back then it will advance again. From wht I did remeber seeing is not to force anything or you'll kill it for good. They seem to have soft gears or something on the winder system.

Paul, Thanks for the tip. I have had in the past the problem where opening the back helps, but this time it's different, the mirror is down and the shutter is cocked but it won't fire. Also with the back open I would think it would advance(like when loading new film) but it won't. Thanks again, I think I will ask the question on the photo net forum.
