I intend to remove the mirror box of a jammed ME Super. I wish to know if the pentaprism will come out with the mirror box or stay with the camera body together with the flexible PCB. Thanks!

The pentaprism and flexible pcb come off with the mirrorbox.

Thanks Henry. One more question. How can I test the operation of the shutter without the mirror box and PCB?

You cock the shutter mechanism via the roller cam lever at the bottom of the mechanism then you release the first curtain and second curtain levers. This is shown and briefly explained in my ME Super article.

You really sure you need to pull the mirror box?

Thanks Henry. Frankly, I wish I don't have to pull the mirror box. This camera is jammed and I couldn't unjam it by the usual method of releasing the claw at the bottom of the camera. I have experience of removing the mirror box of mechanical cameras which I hope can help.
