Setting the shutter to B will not hold open the shutter. Any suggestions?

I have a Pentax MG which I bought in '82 or '83. It is in excellent condition and has not been abused. Recently, however, after not having used it for several years, the winder lever will only go about half way, the shutter-cocked indicator shows it is not cocked and the mirror stuck in the "up" position. Also, the release button on the bottom is stuck in the "up" or, unlocked position. Any suggestions?
