Help meeeeeee....... I cleaned the oil off the aperture blades of a recently purchased used AF 50mm 1.7 Pentax lens, HOWEVER, I am an idiot and lost one of the teeeeny tiny springs that makes contact between the metal Kmount and and a small contact inside the camera. There are six total and I managed to NOT lose five of them. The one I lost was gold, the other five are silver and are actually attached to little pins that mate with contacts on the Kmount. I can't think of anything around the house with a spring that small to throw in there. It just needs to make the electrical connection - the AF is not working right now. Anyone have any idea where you could buy a teeny weenie spring, or something around the house that might have a spring to make the contact? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hi Steven,
There is a tool available at Home Depot. It is a very powerful magnet type "golf club". If you get one of these you can try to pick it up with this, systematically sweeping the area. I have one of these and it has *saved my bacon* a few times.

Also you could put a fresh vaccuum bag in the vac, vaccuum, and then open up the bag looking for it. I have also heard of using a womens nylon stocking over the vacuum nozzle to catch small parts - although I've never tried this.

Good luck,
Will

Bet Pentax still has that spring available since it is for their AF standard lens. Check their website
