I have an old AE1 that I am trying to get working. I bought it off e-bay with a power winder. It initially would not advance the film and the shutter release would not work. I did take the bottom off and released the film advance, which is now working fine. The problem I have is the manual focus light (by the light meter) stays lit, which causes the battery to drain very quickly. Is there an easy fix to this problem, like the stuck film advance, or am I better off scraping it?
