We have a Canon EOS 620 which is draining batteries. Does anybody have any knowledge of a quick fix for this problem or does the Main PCB have to be replaced?

Any ideas would be appreciated

Does the main LCD light up when you push the button? It quite common for the luminessance under the LCD to go wrong. you can remove the bottom cover and just un-solder the to wires at the DC/DC converter. this may be the problem, if not the DC/DC main be faulty.
