My Minolta 9xi won't rewind automaticly after the film is used, and it will not work in manual mode. It works fine in automatic mode.

My 9xi flashes the now infamous 'help'. Strange thing is it only does this when the first shot with film is taken or when the camera advances film. If there is no film in the camera, all functions perfect. I am told the part to fix this is no longer available. SURELY someone out there can fix this! Would a company as reputable as Minlota really leave its faithful hanging?

Hi John-

Any camera can be fixed- for a price. For the $110 to $200 repair cost you would be facing, you can buy a new Maxxum, or a used one for a lot less than that.
