A strange thing happened with this lens, I was focussing it and it separated into two parts.
One part fell on the floor - fortunately thick carpet and no discernable damage was done.

The part wih the distance scale, focussing ring and all the lens glass separated from the rear part with the aperture scale and stop-down mechanism.

The parts appear to connect via the helical screw but how they are supposed to attach together without coming apart escapes me.
Does anyone have any idea? I'd like to fix this lens.
