Ingenious construction.
Before getting into experimental mode - much better to ask if anyone has been the route of removing the film advance lever.

Looks to me as though both tripod bushes must be removed to separate the baseplate - and then undo the take-up spool shaft from beneath. Seems an unlikely rigamarole but -- that's how it looks.

Comments of experience most welcomed.
