Anyone know how to adjust the light meter on this baby? It generally underexposes by about one stop, and since I'm picky, I want to get it accurate. I'm going to remove the top plate to clean the prism and replace the scratched focusing screen with a donor from a dead camera anyway, so as long as I'm in there, why not. |

Thank you very much. I have been using the compensation method, and I was surprised at the quality of the pictures and the versatility of this camera, especially at 35 years old. One problem I had was that with the standard 55mm lens at small apertures, the pictures were overexposed at the left side and gradually became properly exposed toward the right side, like a flare. I traced it to a sluggish aperture mechanism in the lens that wasn't closing down fast enough, and flood-cleaned the blades with Ronsonol lighter fluid. The snappy action was restored. Should be OK now. |
