Hello all. Can anyone suggest a source of tools and materials for repairing cameras ? I tried to buy from Micro-tools , but found they discriminate against South America, they don´t sell for us, they say it´s because of frauds. I buy through the Web from several American shops,so I think it´s very strange, to say the least, but I will not argue this, it´s their business.

Hi Edmundo,

Many small tools for camera repair can be home made or converted from common tools. Have a look at my web pages http://www.provins.org.uk page 12 for a few ideas. Jon (interslice on eBay) sells wonderful light seal material at very reasonable prices. I've always found Micro-tools to be too expensive anyway, so probably no loss that they won't sell to you.

Regards
Roger

Edmundo,
Try checking out hobby and craft shops. A large number of them carry many of the same tools, etc.
