any one help i have a bc 1 but i cant seem to get fast shutter speeds on the meter for eg in bright sunlight and a apeture of f5 it will only give me a shutter speed of 1/60 it seems to be about 4 stops to low.

Maybe you should try it with a new battery? At the PRAKTICA L-series (the models before BC1) the TTL metering showed incorrect results if the battery voltage was too low. Perhaps this is the case at your camera, too.
