I'm sorry if this has been cover before, but I couldn't find the topic.

I have a mamiya 500tl that was working fine. I used a modern cable release and not it is jammed up. The button itself is in theup position, but the pin inside the button (that actually trips the shutter) is in the downward position. The head of the pin appears to be slotted. Should I try using a jewler's screwdriver to "unjam" it? perhaps a few drops of lighter fluid? Or is this something I should have a professional look at?

Again, I'm sorry if this is a commom question, I just couldn't find the answer.

Thanks
Joe
