I need to replace the cord connecting the shutter speed dial to the meter in a Konica T3. I don't wish to use ordinary thread, because accuracy may be affected by stretching. Does anyone know of a source for this (Teflon coated) cord thread?

was that teflon coated?

i've been looking at very heavy duty braided fishline (i think about 40# looked close, but i might be misremembering) for these applications, but i haven't had occasion to use it yet. I'd use something tougher than regular thread, but i wouldn't be TOO worried about stretching: there is not much force on these cords.

Maybe 10 years ago I replaced the cord on a GAF Lcm (Chinon) using craft shop cord for stringing beads. It was thin, woven, I believe, and "would not stretch". The camera is still in good condition and exposure is accurate.

Thanks for the recommendations. I have ordered some bead stringing cord, and if it works well I will post the product name.
