I picked up a really nice Promaster 28-210 zoom lens with a Canon FD mount at a really cheap price at a local pawn shop. Mounting it on my AE-1P however, I notice that on infinity the image is blurred and the two image halves will not align. It appears to be OK at up to about 20-40 feet, but at infinity it's way off. Is there a simple way to align the image at infinity. At 28-210 MM, it should prove to be a good traveling lens.

Does this lens have a close focus---macro---ring? If so, be certain it is turned fully with the lens retracted as far as possible.

I double checked the lens again and it isn't on the macro setting. I'm now noticing that the focusing ring mark actually moves past the infinity mark on the bbl. by 1/8 of an inch or more. Sort of leads me to belive that something has to move back in place to line up the infinity mark.
