Dear All,

I've never attempted a camera repair before but I've just bought a Nikon FG which seems in perfect working order except that the the first hinge of its double-jointed wind on lever seems woefully loose. (it moves if you angle the camera). Does anyone who has any experience of this camera think this is normal behaviour and is it difficult to correct if it isn't?

Thanks for your help

try tighening the large ring around trip button--it is left thread and locked by set screw on rim.

Common problem with older Nikon SLR cameras. The pressure spring snaps inside the 'joint' causing the advance lever to hang loose. Should you have any questions visit our web site at www.garryscamera.com for more details.
