Good evening fellow camera enthusiasts.

I would like to remove the top cover of my yashica YL to get to the delicious viewfinder glass below.

I have removed the film wind lever. And the three screws around the top plate.

The plate seems very reluctant to move. Does anyone have any advice? It seems to be sticking in line with the viewfinder, but I am pretty sure it's not attached in anyway. Thank you.
