I have recently bought a Minolta X-300 and was familiarising myself with it by shooting without a film. After a few shots the view stayed black and the winder doesn't work. I removed the lens and found that the mirror was still up. It descends whne the lever at the bottom is moved across, but immediately springs back up when released.
This is my first foray into SLR cameras so don't know too much about their internal workings but would like to learn.
