To remove the main wind shaft the special nut (RH)(that the motor winder engages) will need to be unscrewed. It is often loctited and very tight to boot.

The cocking slide mechanism is removed in this photo.

Don’t mess with this mechanism. Just thought I’d mention what it was. There is an eccentric that sets the mirror angle. It is very similar to the one we saw earlier that adjusts the shutter button stroke. I have never seen either of these two eccentrics needing adjustment.

Rarely ever will this bezel need to be removed. Basically only if something in the opened aperture metering circuit/mechanism goes bad.
