My camera is not winding on film, in a moment of foolishness I pulled out the rewind lever, as it is not rewinding the lever will not go in and the interlock will not allow the back to open.
Is there a way of over riding the interlock and openning the back?
I use a Minolta 7000 - and I just cannot understand what you are saying. The slide-lever on the rear-skirt of the top-plate fulfills the same function as a conventional baseplate button which releases the sprocket for reverse rotation. And at the same time it activates the motorised film rewind. The aforementioned slider/lever in no way blocks the opening of the camera back door. Press the button as central on the back door slider (on the end of the camera) and slide the back door release bar downwards. The door opens.
I depressed the release button in the middle of the door lock fully and it openned. I just must have not been depressing it enough. It is also very stiff so I will dismantle and clean it
