Hello - I have a Canon FX which has a shutter capping at high speeds, such as 1/250s to 1/1000, only half of the frame is exposed. Does anyone know how to adjust, I would appreciate any help. Many thanks in advance. |

Well if this happenes only with flash then it is normal, not a malfunction. If it happenes without flash , yes it is some thing to be investigated. All cameras when u take flash photos above shutter speed marked X or in difft colour this happens and is perfectly normal. |

Thanks for taking the time to reply, I am well aware of this. I was mostly wandering how to take the bottom plate off and possibly retensioning the curtains. Regards. |

Any way if you want to take off the bottom plate off , it is held by 2 or 3 screws, simply remove the plate. In any case please make note of the position of the curtain tenssioning ratchets before u disrurb them so u can restore them to original in case u didnt get the result. Also note that over tightening will break the springs rendering camera uselss. To be very frank i do not understand your meaning of shutter capping. Often the meaning varies from person to person. |
