Hi all, I'm a newbie here and want to know if anyone can help me with this problem. I have 2 Konica Auto S2's with the same problem: both are missing the focusing spot in the center of the viewfinder. The manual says that they have a focusing spot but I have 2 of these camera's and have seen another one that also lacked the focusing spot. My question is - do these camera's actually have focusing spots in the center or, is there a mis-print in manual ? Any assistance will be appreciated!

The answer to your question is "yes". The K auto s2 is somewhat notorious for the RF mirror falling off because the glue used dries out and is no longer adhesive. In not so severe cases you can find the mirror (4x8 mm approx.) somewhere in the camera body. Re-gluing is not too difficult, the bevelled edge goes down. Study this link from this forum's articles section for details, our administrator's article refers to the auto s1.6 which is practically identical with the auto S2 except for the lens: https://kyp.hauslendale.com/classics/konicaautos.html
