Hi all,

I bought a Nikon EM today and did not notice that the light meter was not working properly until I got home. The problem had been described before -- needle moves after shutter has been released, but needle gets stuck after film advance.

I found the thread from a few years back
https://kyp.hauslendale.com/classics/forum/messages/6900/4331.html?1112047736
and tried to open the camera.

However, I'm unable to remove the circlip that holds the ASA ring. Any help on this? And once the top is removed, does anyone know what am I supposed to do to fix the needle problem?

Another new problem is that shutter and film advance are now stuck. I'm guessing I must have messed it up when I was opening the front, or because my top plate is loose (everything except the ASA ring has already been removed).

Many thanks in advance!
