can anyone tell me about a mitsuba 35mm camera TC-5000D. I bought it at a garage sale today and it has never been used but does not have a manual. |

Donna: Sorry, it's not "really" a camera but it's designed to look like one. Unscrupulous camera shops sell them to rubes because they (along with Olympias [sic] and Cannons [sic]) look like "real" cameras. I hope you didn't pay more than $2 (the going garage sale rate here). I like to paint them with gold spray-paint (the stuff from auto supply stores is the best) throw some craft-store glitter on and (voila!) instant camera christmas ornament. Just a thought. |

Ya got taken. It does work and use film, so it's "really" a camera, just not a very good one. Some people like to have fun with them regardless, see www.onfal.com , also: http://insects.ummz.lsa.umich.edu/~mfo/cheapcam.html . Just don't pay over $1 for one. The rollfilm Holgas are more useful than the 35mm ones, IMHO. |
